The Mavic Aksium wheelset consists of QRM bearings, H2 spoke holes and FTS-L free wheel. It consists of straight pull spokes which are stronger then the previously used J bent spokes.
It is very stylish owing to the flat aero spokes. semi aero rim, its large and attractive graphics. The front wheel weighs 870 g and rear wheel weighs 985 g. So the wheel set weighs 1855g totally.
These wheels are designed for all round biking. They boast of highly developed aerodynamic features. Their durability and endurance is praise worthy.
The Mavic Aksium wheelset is light weight and very responsive. It has a UB control braking surface and an external wear indicator. It has a H2 technology eyelet. These wheels are made out of aluminum. Its semi aero measures 15mm internally. The valve hole measures 6.5mm in diameters. The nipples are made out of brass and have a self lock concept. The front axle size is 9 X 100 and the rear axle size measures 9 X 130.
They are Campagnolo and Shimano compatible.
